The mill pond at the base of the vineyard was the site of the Upper Mill owned and operated by three generations of the Padgett family. Its hand chiseled and pegged timbers lay dormant buried beneath Watermelon Creek and are visible at times of drought. The mill pond was the setting for local baptisms as well as a popular swimming hole for the Tison community. Plunging into its cold dark waters revitalized the soul and seemed to clarify one’s view of creation after emerging.
Watermelon Creek's Mill Pond Blush gives the indulger the best of two worlds. A sweet blend of the Carlos and Noble Muscadines, this pretty pink blend vints a zesty, medium-bodied flavor. 50% Carlos; 50% Noble Muscadine grapes.
Mill Pond Blush is great on its own or can be paired nicely with a decadent dessert or scrumptious cheese tray.
